Christmas 2012 Highlights

I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday, a very merry Christmas and are excited about the new year and what it holds! I would like to share today on Family Fridays some of the highlights of our Christmas celebration.

We woke up to a white Christmas - yes, there was between 1/2 - 1 inch of the white stuff all over the ground. Unfortunately it did not last very long. Oh, it was plenty cold but the wind started blowing and blew it right on through to New Mexico!

With our large family, there were lots of gifts, lots of excitement and lots of wrapping paper left on the floor when it was all over!

With the building of our new barn, we have a 30 X 40 concrete pad out in front of the barn under the overhang. It is the perfect place for playing street hockey.

So, this Christmas everyone received roller-blades and hockey sticks - even our 4 year old! Needless to say, they have been playing every spare moment.

December is a big month for us. Not only do we have Christmas, but we also celebrate the birth of two sons - one of them on Christmas day! Our oldest son at home turned 20 this year - it is hard to believe that 20 years ago he was born 2 1/2 months premature and weighed 3 1/2 pounds!
