Decks the Jersey Bull is Almost 3 Months Old!
It is hard to believe that almost 3 months has passed since Decks was born. He is growing so fast and grazes for himself! Like weeds, cows seem to grow right before your eyes!

EIFS window trim has certainly added the finishing touch to the exterior of our house! The brown trim accents the windows and I love the look of it with the red roof and yellow sides!
Working on the house is not the only thing happening during the warm weather. We are getting ready to expand the vineyard this spring by adding 5 more acres of grapes!
The glass block windows around the top of the cupola are now in and the house is officially dried in! That means that no rain can get in and progress is being made.
It is time to turn our multiple shades of grey house into a beeeeuuuuutiful yellow color – one shade of yellow all over the house! Yep, it’s time to apply the EIFS topcoat and I can’t wait to show you the difference!

Beatrice finally calved and I would like to introduce you to Decks, our new calf! We have been anticipating his arrival for awhile and can’t wait to have fresh milk again – ice cream suppers, here we come!
Making wine at home can be done with very little equipment. We use a crusher/destemmer and a bladder press. Both pieces of equipment were purchased from wineries that buy our grapes.

Aglianico and Montepulciano grapes are now gone! In one harvest filled week, grape harvest for 2016 is done! Almost anyway – we have to have some for our own wine making!
